Short description:
Orange Babies offers support to Our Lady’s Hospice by taking care of the children who stay in the clinic in between treatments. At the request of Orange Babies, Our Lady’s Hospice has, besides in the clinic, invested in a Mobile outreach HIV/AIDS programme in the communities: Kalingalinga, Kalikiliki, Mutendere, Kaunda Square and PHI. In doing so, Child Protect also became part of their goal.
Goals:
Counselling and Testing (VCT) pregnant, HIV-infected women and providing HIV/AIDS treatment for these women. Supporting HIV-infected mothers during their HIV therapy. Palliative care for children. Treatment and monitoring is performed at the Children’s Clinic on a weekly basis.
Results:

Treatment and monitoring is performed at the Children’s Clinic on a weekly basis. At the moment 203 children are registered at the programme, 173 of them use HIV medication.
